On July 29, 2021, Brother Major General (Retired) Arthur Holmes Jr. (1952, Gamma Epsilon) was inducted into the Hampton University Army ROTC Cadet Command Hall of Fame. Brother Holmes served almost four decades in the U.S Army retiring as a Commanding General in 1987. He is a graduate of the Naval War College and served as a member of the Logistics Directorate for the Joint Chiefs of Staff. His military service awards include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Distinguished Service Medal. He is a member of the U.S Army Ordnance Hall of Fame. Brother Holmes civilian accomplishments include serving as Vice-President of Logistics Applications and President and CEO of Automated Sciences Group Inc with and annual revenue of over $28 million dollars. He has served as the past chairman of the Montgomery County Planning Board and as the past Director of the Montgomery County Department of Public Works and Transportation. Brother Homes is a member of Mu Nu Chapter which serves Montgomery County Maryland. The Hampton University ROTC Hall of Fame honors its graduates who have distinguished themselves in military or civilian pursuits
